International Fortress Council
The International Fortress Council was founded in 1989 as an International organization for cooperation in the field of fortresses, fortifications and other military architecture. The purpose is to promote and coordinate the interests of the member organizations and to encourage in general the recognition of fortresses, fortifications and other military architecture as part of the national and international cultural heritage.
Activities
To create public awareness by organizing events in and on fortresses and fortifications.
To make inventories and cover the entire area of a state.
To be open to the public at large.
